Chen Chén Family History

Duc Chén wanted adventure, and a good life for the large family he hoped to someday have with his beautiful, young bride, Guan-Yin Miáo.

Ever since he was a small boy, he had dreams of moving to America. After having two young daughters, Jun and Lian, Duc knew it was time to make his move. He picked up his small family and moved from Mainland China to Skasimlaki, U.S. into a small, yellow house in the neigborhood of Pleasantview.

The house, and the small family, soon grew as Duc settled into American sports and began to make a name for himself. Guan-yin stayed home with their growing brood, which soon included twins, Eu-meh and Hua, and sons Quon and Wang. After Wang, the couple considered stopping, but Guan-yin had an intense desire for ten children, and Chyou, Gan, Lixue, and the twins Cai and Li Na followed.

Though the family are proud to now be Americans, they instill a deep pride and understanding in their children of the heritage and culture they left behind. It is something Duc and Guan-yin have been happy to see their children instilling in their children.

The aging couple brag to everyone who'll stop to listen about their ten bright, beautiful children, their wonderful eleven grandchildren and their extra-special 2 great-grandchildren.

Duc Chén

Patriarch of the Chén Family, pro-sports player, loving husband, and beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Duc is more than proud of his accomplishments in this life, and the wonderful opportunities he has provided for his descendants.

Guan-yin Miáo

A shy girl growing up in Mainland China, Guan-yin didn't, at first, what to know about the dashing, exuberant young man who pursued her hand - but it wasn't long before she fell under his spell, and madly in love with him.

Guan-yin has the large family she always dreamed of, and counts her blessings every day for the healthy, loving children and children's children she was a part of creating.

Jun Chén

Though she was a toddler when her parents moved to America, Jun and her sister Lian, had no problems fitting in with their new life as they were growing up.

Pretty, soft-spoken Jun was in complete contrast to her brassy, bold sister, but the two were the best of friends regardless. When they became adults, they moved out and got a small house just across the street from their parents.

This worked out well for a few years, until Jun met and fell in love with Alexander Goth, partial heir to the Goth fortune. Family-oriented like her parents, Jun dreamed of a large family and Alex felt the same way. It wasn't long before their perfect, small family unit - they, a son and a daughter grew by leaps and bounds.

With two sets of twins and a child in between, Jun and Alex soon found themselves raising seven children - and they couldn't be happier about it!

Lian Chén

Lian swore up and down she'd never marry - no matter that she saw her best friend and sister blissfully wedded and popping out babies with no reserve. "Not for me!" Lian would say as she dashed out the door for another night on the town.

That was until she met Joe Carr; a dashing man that could keep up with her - and had her head over heels in love before she knew what was happening. Lian hung up her dancing shoes and fit well into the role of suburban wife, giving Joe four beautiful daughters that the both of them simply adore.

"I could've done without the marrying part," Lian often says, winking at Joe playfully, "but I can't imagine life without my girls."

Eu-meh Chén

Like their older, non-twin sisters, Eu-meh and Hua are as night and day - but they couldn't be closer.

Eu-meh is the studious one, usually with her nose buried in a book and determined to graduate Summa Cum Laude. While Hua is out having a good time, Eu-meh is cracking the books and joining study groups. She's well-liked on campus and earns a decent bit of money tutoring other students on the side.

Hua Chén

Like their older, non-twin sisters, Eu-meh and Hua are as night and day - but they couldn't be closer.

"I like to have a good time," Hua says into the phone when her parents ask her why her grades aren't as high as Eu-meh's. They let it slide, knowing Hua - even though she's partying - won't let her grades slip too badly. She'll do just good enough to get by, spending the rest of her time trying to appease her restless spirit.

Hua plans to be an actress someday, and already is nabbing bit parts in a few movies filmed at Cowplant Studios in Downtown. With her exotic looks, there's no doubt she'll go far in her chosen career.

Quon Chén

Firstborn son of the Chén clan, Quon feels a responsiblity to his family that is endearing for his young age. He plans, someday, to have a large brood of his own and keep the family name he is so proud of going strong.

Wang Chén

Youngest of the family, Wang is sweet and loving child who appears more playful and life-loving like his father and sisters, Lian and Hua.
