Goth Family History

Everyone in the community knew the affluent Goths. The older and influential Goth family were always uncertain of the dark beauty Mortimer chose for his wife, never believing her good enough for their son. But Mortimer was smitten and despite rumors circulating around town in their later years together, the couple were blessed with an unplanned second child who they named Alexander.

Life seemed idyllic for the wealthy family until the day that Bella Goth disappeared. Mortimer was convinced she had been abducted by aliens, but people whispered behind his back that she'd finally run off with one of her young lovers. The family was never quite the same after she vanished.

Now a broken man, Mortimer, to the dismay of his daughter Cassandra and son, fell in love with and married his much younger, widowed sister-in-law Dina Caliente. Dina was known around town for being attached to older, richer men. Her first husband, Michael Bachelor and brother to Bella, had left a sizeable fortune for Dina after his death; but rumor was that Dina's penchant for shopping had dwindled her bank accounts. It seemed quite fortuitous for Dina that Bella disappeared when she did, as some people speculated.

Cassandra by this time had married her first love, Don Lothario. Their first child, a girl, was named after her grandmother (it is now a tradition in the Goth family that every other first female born of this line must be named "Bella"). A few years later they had a son who they named Ethan. Cassandra knew something was amiss when Ethan's birth caused Don to have a nervous breakdown. It wasn't until a few years of marriage and two kids later that Cassandra learned Don had been cheating on her - with just about every woman in town, including her step-mother. The final straw came when she learned that Don had a son for Dina's twin sister - Don Jr. - that was being raised by the woman and her lesbian lover. Cassandra kicked Don out of her family home and refuses to speak to him, though she has had heard through their children, who keep in contact with their father, that Don had been trying to hook up with Brandi Broke.

Dina, despite loving his money initially, did come to care deeply for Mortimer. While pregnant for their only child together, Dina was frightened by the ghost of her former husband. The shock was too much for Dina in her delicate state and she died of fright. Mortimer, desperate over the the thought of losing another woman he loved, begged the Grim Reaper to spare Dina and his unborn child, and the Reaper acquiesced. Dina and Mortimer were inseparable after the incident and Dina was inconsolable for some time after his death a few years later. After Jaren became a teen and money left from Mortimer was gone, Dina met and married another wealthy man, Russell Rich.

Alexander, who prefers to be called Alex, moved out on his own as soon as he could, having no desire to stay in the house with Dina after his father died, and met and married Jun Ching-Chong. The two had a young daughter named Nadine, and later a son that was named after his grandfather, Mortimer.

Cassandra eventually became aware of Don's philandering ways. Though she'd always had her suspicions she had tried to pretend it wasn't true. However, she could no longer pretend when she learned Don had fathered a child with his old flame, Dina Caliente. She divorced him and, after a brief period of depression, made herself anew. The divorce seemed to give her confidence and strength she'd never known, she cut her hair short and sexy and started dating a younger man; the maid, Remington Harris. Both had the same goals in life (a huge family) and loved the same things - within a year they were married. Currently they are working on the huge family part - they've had three children together so far.

Young Bella, who looks more like her namesake every year, is off to college to pursue a life-long dream of becoming a successful doctor. She chose to live in the dorms with her uncle, Jaren Goth Caliente, who looks after her (the two are not that far apart in age).

Ethan was all prepared for college with two scholarships under his belt (the SimCity's Scholar Grant and the Quigley Visual Arts Stipend) when love came in and changed everything. He met and started dating a cashier at the local clothes store named Nicole Thompson when he was a teen. The two became so close they were nearly inseparable; Nicole practically lived at the Goth home. When they both became adults, Ethan married her. He is pursuing a career in the Culinary field and hopes to own his own restaurant one day. He and Nicole gave birth to the first child of the fourth generation of Goths; they named him Balin.
