An alien pollinator, Pollination Technician #9 settled in Strangetown after retirement to be nearer his two favorite daughters from his pollinating days, twins Lola and Chloe, taking the Sim name of "Smith". He met and married Jenny Curious, only sister to Strangetown's infamous three scientist brothers, Lazlo, Pascal and Vidcund; the three made national headlines after two of them were abducted by aliens and impregnated. Jenny and her brothers were no strangers to aliens; their father had been abducted when they were children and had come back pregnant for twins, Chloe and Lola. Aliens were something she was more comfortable with than most Sims.

Jenny and P.T. #9, as friends and family called him, had a quiet, average suburban life - a comfortable home with a swimming pool, and two children; blonde-haired Johnny and Jill. Not long before Johnny moved out to a life on his own, however, P.T. #9's pollinating cells appeared to kick back into lavish action. By time young Jill was old enough to move out, her parents had given she and Johnny four more siblings: Joel, Julian, Jason and Jeanine.

However, such pollinating at such a mature age proved to be too much for the aged alien who died but a few short hours before baby Jeanine was born. His death was a crushing blow to Jenny, who loved him dearly. Growing close to old age herself now, Jenny is usually too busy raising four young children and nurturing her four grandchildren to mourn much for the past.

Johnny Smith married his childhood sweetheart, Ophelia Nigmos, almost immediately after leaving home. Though Ophelia's recently deceased Aunt Olive, whom had raised her, left her large home to the young woman, she and Johnny opted to build a new home rather than take up residence with Olive Specter's many ghostly friends who haunted the house. Johnny and Ophelia have two young girls, Nikki and Julie. Nikki was the first grandchild in the family.

Jill Smith stayed at home for awhile after becoming an adult to help her mother with the ever-growing brood. That was, until she met Ripp Grunt - the two were married only months after their first meeting. It was Jill and Ripp who gave birth to the first set of twins in the game, Payton and Piper.

The rest of the Smith children are still in school; Julian, "the smart one" is currently enrolled in Private School and plans to be leaving for college as soon as his scholarships are approved. Joel, too carefree and impulsive for college, spends most of his days playing hookey from school with his current boyfriend. Jason is already bringing home young girls from school, and young Jeanine shows an aptitude in school that proves she won't be long in following big brother Julian as another family brainiac.
