Happy Home for Triplet Family
Seven years ago we reported the surprising and joyous birth of our proud state's first triplets - born to Tiffany and Cyd Roseland of Magda-Crist County. The triplets, Libby, Tabitha, and Jaron have just hit their seventh birthday and the Cathar City Times paid them a visit to see how life was going for the state's favorite threesome.
Though often loud, the home is filled with smiles and laughter. Libby and Tabitha tripped over each other excitedly telling us about their new birthday present - a huge trampoline set up in the backyard. Jaron, the boy of the group, interjected here and there with important tidbits. It's apparent he's learned not to even attempt to talk over his sisters.
"I think it's neat," he answers when asked what it's like being a part of triplet siblings. "I'm a lot closer to my sisters than most of my friends are, and it's because we really have this special thing. Our best times are when the three of us are together; we're really all best friends."
"It's true," adds Libby - the "wild child" of the bunch. "I love my friends, but it's more than that with Tab and Jaron. Sometimes we don't even have to speak, we just all always know what the other is feeling."
Tabitha breaks out in a big grin, "Yeah, like right now Jaron wants a grilled cheese sandwich."
"I do!" he says, and the three erupt in a fit of giggles, while harried, yet happy, mother Tiffany goes to grill some lunch for her three special children.
Harried yet happy is definitely how Cyd and Tiffany would describe their home.
"It's non-stop," Tiffany explains. "It's three times whatever; whatever we do it takes three times the effort. But we're very happy - we're a close family, so there's also three times the laughter and fun. Sure it gets tough sometimes raising three children all at once, but I wouldn't have it any other way."
They are definitely active. Both girls are involved in ballet, Girl Scouts, and softball during the summer. Jaron is in karate, baseball, Boy Scouts and band at school. Tiffany herself is a P.T.A. member and proudly has a "Soccer Mom" bumper sticker on the family's mini-van.
"I was a sorority girl, now I'm a mini-van driving soccer mom," she says with a shrug. "It was just my destiny to be a suburban housewife and mother. I think I've been very blessed."
"We all have," husband Cyd says quietly, as the sound of 3 laughing voices carries in from the other room.
