Obituary

Holland, Claude Raleigh of Pinstar Parish, aged 81, died Sunday at his home in Legacy Acres.

Mr. Holland was born April 25 in rural Pinstar Parish; a son of Edmond Paul and Melinda Anne (neé Goodkind) Holland. He married Michelle Courtney Reeves and the couple were married for forty-seven years; she died three years ago.

Surviving are one son, Russell Broderick and daughter-in-law, Jaiden Ruby (neé Taylor). He also leaves behind grandchildren, Drake Spencer Holland, and his wife Lucy Danielle (neé Hanby) and Brenna Emily (neé Holland) Stompel, and her husband, Samuel Cole Stompel; as well as four great-grandchildren, Joelle Drew Holland, Jada Eve Stompel, Portia Lucille Stompel, and Nora Belle Elisabeth Stompel.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Edmond.

He was a proficient gamer for forty-one years with Duncanesh Gaming Industries, and came in first-place at gaming conventions worldwide. For twenty-two years he was a member of the local chapter of FantasyElite Gamers, and president for four years.

He loved fishing, his family - especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren - and socializing. He will be interred at Dynasty Cemtery in Legacy Acres in a private family mausoleum.
